Time Off

I am such a perfectionist. When it comes to taking time off of work I'm a basket case. Constantly writing and re-writing my daily tasks to ensure my backups have all the needed information to cover me. I think its mostly this time because of the nervousness I have, the reason I'm taking off. Getting an endoscopy and colonoscopy are routine procedures and are done every day. However for some reason I know deep down I am nervous about it. My doctors found evidence of blood loss within my digestion track during recent tests.  The good news is my Iron levels are up so I do not have to get a treatment this month and will not go back for 3 months!!! Anyways I better get back to work and make sure I am caught up. I don't need anything to go wrong while I'm out.

St Pattys Day

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Last year I cant remember half of what happened. This year I plan on remembering every detail including not drinking. Plus drinking heavely on a sunday just makes a Monday even worse... I know from experience.

So back to house cleaning and watching Army Wives I go.

Coming Home

My brother is coming home tonight for leave. He will be home for 28-30 days and I am so super excited...

Anyways, just thought I should share.. time to go to the airport. :)

Buddies

In most every guys life they have that girl. No not the girlfriend, the girl friend. The girl that is friends with all the guys. Or as us girls call it the buddies. I am one of these said girls. Every guy I have ever persuaded has in one way or form become a buddy. I convince them to ask out other girls, give them relationship advise and am over all the female perspective for them. Yet there is emotional feelings other than friends. I know more about some of their personal lives than anyone and I'm the one that gets introduced as the friend Sam. It's hard, seeing every guy you have feelings for date other women. Sadly I don't feel as if I am ever going to leave this position but maybe one day I will.

On a brighter note I love my girlfriends. I recently broke up with the southern prince. Turns out he was more of a controlling monarch than prince. Well we went out for a girls night last night and lone behold the son of a b**** was there. We had previously talked about going out and where we were going. He told me he wouldn't be there but there he was. The best part is with the help of my girls I really showed him. We found me plenty of hot guys to dance with and I danced the night away. He saw me and stopped dead in his tracks. I didn't even give him the light of day. It was the most releasing thing I have done in a while. It gives me the strength I need to more forward in life.


As my motto this year is carry on, may your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground.

Holiday Season

So before all the hoopla begins I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This is the first Christmas that my brother will not be here for. 

Please keep all military personel in your prayers this holiday season. It breaks theirs and their familys heart to not be home to celebrate.

So as many have been wondering about, an update on my health. They still are not positive on everything going on and I go back in February for more testing. For now they had me get another dose of Iron IV. I once again picked a good date to get it. The first time I got a concert by local country artist, Derek Anthony:

This last time (a week ago) we had a special visit from Santa and local Firefighters!!! 

Needless to say I blushed!!! Plus these firefighters know how to manhandle if you get my drift. :)

Best Friend Party

Every year me and my 2 very best friends (out of the many), the ones I consider my sisters, get together and have a Christmas party. This year Pintrest was my drawing board. If you have never been on Pintrest they have a lot of fun usually easyand cute craft ideas. For Christmas this year they each received 3 gifts.

#1- paint swatch calendar. It was simply made by cutting FREE paint samples to a 2" width* and gluing them to either paper or cardstock the size of your frame. *I used an 11x17" frame so if you use smaller reduce the size of your paint samples. When done insert into frame and use a dry erase marker to create the calendar.

#2 - scrabble letter coasters Mogpodge scramble letters onto cork tiles and seal with modpoge for a coaster.

#3 Hot Chocolate in jars (not pictured) and stir sticks. For the stir sticks I dipped candy canes into a dark chocolate and let harden over night.

Super simple and all done in 9 hours.

The results are in...

My hematologist has finally found out what is going on. I have iron deficiency anemia caused by a blood defect that prohibits my blood from naturally absorbing nutrients from food. I am also intolerant to oral iron (iron supplements). So the next stop is iron treatments via IV/transfusion. I am so thankful for health insurance that this isn't going to cost me a fortune. I am also so thankful my primary chose a good center for me to get treatment at. I feel right at home and they are more than happy to answer any questions I have and walk me through all steps of the process. So next Thursday I go for my 1st treatment  6 hours in the Chemo/Transfusion room getting the iron IV. My mom has been so helpful through all of this, she is even going with me to my appointment to keep me company. Anyways, I better get back to work and do something to constitute them paying me...
