Holiday Season

So before all the hoopla begins I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. This is the first Christmas that my brother will not be here for. 

Please keep all military personel in your prayers this holiday season. It breaks theirs and their familys heart to not be home to celebrate.

So as many have been wondering about, an update on my health. They still are not positive on everything going on and I go back in February for more testing. For now they had me get another dose of Iron IV. I once again picked a good date to get it. The first time I got a concert by local country artist, Derek Anthony:

This last time (a week ago) we had a special visit from Santa and local Firefighters!!! 

Needless to say I blushed!!! Plus these firefighters know how to manhandle if you get my drift. :)

Best Friend Party

Every year me and my 2 very best friends (out of the many), the ones I consider my sisters, get together and have a Christmas party. This year Pintrest was my drawing board. If you have never been on Pintrest they have a lot of fun usually easyand cute craft ideas. For Christmas this year they each received 3 gifts.

#1- paint swatch calendar. It was simply made by cutting FREE paint samples to a 2" width* and gluing them to either paper or cardstock the size of your frame. *I used an 11x17" frame so if you use smaller reduce the size of your paint samples. When done insert into frame and use a dry erase marker to create the calendar.

#2 - scrabble letter coasters Mogpodge scramble letters onto cork tiles and seal with modpoge for a coaster.

#3 Hot Chocolate in jars (not pictured) and stir sticks. For the stir sticks I dipped candy canes into a dark chocolate and let harden over night.

Super simple and all done in 9 hours.

The results are in...

My hematologist has finally found out what is going on. I have iron deficiency anemia caused by a blood defect that prohibits my blood from naturally absorbing nutrients from food. I am also intolerant to oral iron (iron supplements). So the next stop is iron treatments via IV/transfusion. I am so thankful for health insurance that this isn't going to cost me a fortune. I am also so thankful my primary chose a good center for me to get treatment at. I feel right at home and they are more than happy to answer any questions I have and walk me through all steps of the process. So next Thursday I go for my 1st treatment  6 hours in the Chemo/Transfusion room getting the iron IV. My mom has been so helpful through all of this, she is even going with me to my appointment to keep me company. Anyways, I better get back to work and do something to constitute them paying me...

Stump the Doctors

So I have stumped the specialist at Cancer & Blood Disorder Center. They have no clue whats wrong with me. All but 3 of the symptoms align with one thing but not another that others do... So on to more tests and another visit. anyways... I better get back to work and get something done today. Its a boss free day so we haven't done much!

Today is the day I go to the Hematologist (Blood Specialist) to have tests run. Maybe I can finally get some answers. Anyways, so my love sent me the most amazing picture yesterday:

Exhausted

Recently I have been so exhausted. I can not wait until my hematologist appointment on thursday. I just want to know what is going on. Recently i have been getting more migraines, and dizzy spells. Not to mention the weight gain... after losing 70 lbs gaining 10 is a night mare!!! The other nightmare is the hair loss. I lose more and more each day. Its frustrating.... anyway, just voicing some frustrations. im exhausted so im gonna relax with my puppies and try to get some sleep.

Fears

Fears... Everyone has them, some have a fear of the dark, of heights. Personally I have a fear of snakes however recently I have a new fear. The fear of loss. With all this shit my body is going through it scares me. It scares me for all the losses I can endure. The loss of my hair (I was blessed with beautiful German hair that does everything perfect and rarely has a bad day). The loss of the ones I love. At any moment they can say it's all too much and walk out. Over the past few days as everything comes into perspective I've had people say to not worry and wait to talk to the doctors. Well that's fine and dandy but when you wake up in the morning and your entire body feels like you just got hit with a truck you might have a slight bit of worry. I found out today that a parent of a family friend is going thought a similar condition currently. Although we don't know if that's really what I have, just speculating. They have to do so much and it's pretty rough. But I am determined I will relax and wait for the doctors then do what I can to overcome this obstacle.

Okay well it's bed time. Hopefully I will be able to sleep a full night and won't feel like a truck ran over me in the morning so I can go to work.

Work Work Work

Good Morning Loves :)

Work is blah this morning with all of the month end whopla done we are starting a new month.

Its been a rough last few weeks. Being sick sucks & not in the flu/cold sick type of way. Its scary when there is something wrong with your body but you have no clue what it is. It really freaks me out. Im currently scheduled to go see a Hematologist within a month to find out if its a blood disorder that is messing me all up or something else.

Anyways back to the happy side of my life... Halloween is coming up!!! That means Thanksgiving, Black Friday & Christmas are right around the corner! I so can not wait!!!

Well now work is picking back up so I better get back, I really am going to try and be better at posting more often. It will be easier with the holidays cause I always get to do more Crafts, Decorate and try new Recipes!!!

Baby Showers & Birthdays

These last 3 weekends have been crazy busy with Baby Showers and Birthday Parties. My best friend Lacey is having a girl!!! Audrey Candice is due in October and I absolutely can not wait!!! Her aunt & mom thew her a baby shower a few weeks ago. One of the requests from the host and the mom to be was that everyone was assigned a letter to decorate for an ABC wall in the baby's room. Part of the party was that everyone was asked to decorate a onesie for Audrey to use. These are just a few:

Of course amazing decorations were a must with this adorably creative family:

Diapers were wrapped in baby wash cloths and topped with a sock to mimic a sleeping baby. There were put in a small doll crib and guests were instructed to unwrap the "baby" & use the cloth as a napkin. The mom to be got to take home all socks, diapers and cloths to use with Audrey. 

Okay so present time!!!! I went all home made for Audrey with my staples and any baby shower. We have 2 home made hooded towels, two receiving / nursing blankets. I also got her feeding spoons and a formula dispenser (which FYI if the mom wants to breast feed this handy gadget is also good for dry cereal mixes, small snacks etc.), I also got Audrey some of my personal favorite books: Green Eggs & Ham and Brown Bear Brown Bear. Since I am Sam I signed the green eggs & ham to add a personal touch. All of this I put into a medium size basket from Hobby Lobby and tied with a pretty bow!

Day Off

Today is my day off! That is unusual for me since I work so much! Of course even since it is my day off my internal alarm clock woke me up at 4:30am freaking out since my puppy wasn't up yet. Normally my alarm goes of at 4:00am which signals the dogs to wake up and go potty. No alarm = sleep till 5 am :)! Yes I said 5 am! Even on my days off I am up at 5 am doing god knows what and getting ready in the mornings! This morning the dogs have a date at the puppy spa (Petsmart) for a little R & R away from the house. We arrived at 6:45 and walked in with the groomer who was surprised we got there early for our 7 am appointment. Once leaving there I am now back home to enjoy a quite morning with no puppies. Just me, my computer and my coffee! 

My Day will soon start with the buzzing of my cell phone from coworkers who cant handle me being out.

I must go change clothes and start my day! I'm spending it with my momma! We are going shopping and out about on the town! Somewhere in there we are having breakfast and then lunch with my Aunt. Tonight is when the fun starts cause you know in the south we don't go down till the sun comes up! 

Oh one more thing! Congratulations to my little brother Chris who is graduating from the United States Marine Corp Boot Camp today @ MCRD San Diego! I wish me and bubba could be there to cheer you on as you walk across the parade deck for the first time as a US Marine but bubba is enjoying Japan (also a Marine, yes girls I have 2 USMC Brothers, please wipe up the drool only the younger is single and I'm a very protective sister! Pictures of both below) and I cant afford Cali right now. I hope to see you when you get back! Love you!
